Mini Bonneville Salt Flats Wedding & Elopement Guide

• Best time of year to take photos: Late summer through fall (August–October) is most predictable for dry conditions and road access. Spring can be beautiful but often brings standing water, which creates stunning reflections but may limit where vehicles can drive. Winter is quieter but cold and windy.
• Hiking required: None. Most couples drive directly onto the flats, though walking on uneven or wet salt may be required depending on conditions.
• Closest town: Wendover, Utah/Nevada is about 15 minutes away and offers hotels, restaurants, and gas. Salt Lake City is about 1.5 hours.
